SOCAR Petroleum to build two oil bases in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh (exclusive)
SOCAR Petroleum will build two oil bases in the liberated Karabakh, spokesman for SOCAR Petroleum CJSC Uzeyir Habibbayli told Trend.

“We are building new gas stations under the SOCAR brand in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan and will continue to do so in
the future. It is known that the concepts of digitalization projects and the construction of smart cities and villages for the liberated territories of the country are currently being developed."

According to Habibbayli, in combination with the conditions of "smart" cities and villages, these gas stations will operate on a fully automated and innovative system.

The head of the press service of the CJSC stressed that as part of the transition to renewable energy sources, solar panels will be installed on the roofs of these gas stations."Thanks to these panels, we will be able to disconnect from external power supply systems and put into operation these gas stations based on our own internal resources, that is, solar panels. Thus, we will meet all the gas station's electricity needs," he said.

Habibbayli noted that places have already been allocated for the construction of these gas stations."Petrol stations will be built in each of the liberated districts, in some districts one station, in others - two. In addition, these petrol stations will not have maintenance personnel, they will operate on the basis of a self-service model. Irrigation of the petrol station section will also be carried out in an automated mode. We will build two oil bases in the liberated Karabakh. And these bases will be equipped with innovative systems and fully automated. I believe that they can also be called "smart" oil depots," he said.

Habibbayli also noted that the construction of a new gas station in the Gubadli district on the Goris-Kafan Road is nearing completion and will be commissioned in the near future.SOCAR Petroleum CJSC owns 41 filling stations and 11 oil tanks. The company has the only CNG terminal in the country thanks to which it is a leader in environmentally friendly fuels. Each client has the opportunity to check the volume of fuel, as well as other advantages, at filling stations operating under the SOCAR brand.
